Belgrade is the capital of Serbia, placed on the confluence of rivers Sava and Danube. It is one of the oldest cities in Europe, and currently has approximately 1.6 million residents.

The city is known as the crossroad of the worlds, both because of its territorial distribution and the rich cultural heritage. It was settled by Celts in 4 th century (BC), and named Singidunum. Then, Romans came, and made one luxurious city out of it. Huns destroyed it, Goths, Byzantines conquered it, Slavs, Bulgarians, Hungarians, Turks and Austrians went by, until the 19 th century, when it finally became Serbian.

That is precisely the reason why Belgrade has so many different buildings made in completely different styles, and why every corner of the city still keeps a story told a long time ago.
